The 2008 Melges 24 European calendar is building to a real crescendo. Last week’s Italian National Championships at Cagliari attracted a sixty two boat entry to the island of Sardinia and the forthcoming Worlds in Porto Cervo have already breached the one hundred boat mark. The Italian Nationals was the final chance for teams to measure up against each other before the Worlds and all the top Euro teams were in attendance.
